Tonometry is a non-invasive procedure that we use to determine intraocular pressure (fluid pressure) within your pet’s eye(s). We use tonometry to help diagnose glaucoma. Glaucoma is caused by the buildup of fluid within the eye. Abnormally high pressure can damage the optic nerve, leading to vision loss, so we recommend setting up an appointment right away if you notice any of the following problems with either or both of your pet’s eyes:
